I grew up as a slightly socially awkward introvert. For years I wondered how others could navigate meeting new people and make connections so easily while I felt completely ill-equipped. It made social events stressful, dating a challenge, and even limited my professional development.
It was not until I started working with a life coach myself did I understand the neuroscience behind rapport, and how my own approach to social events was working against me. Especially since I had now developed anxiety around meeting anyone new.
That early work & study changed my life, and today I work as a professional certified coach helping others. One of my coaching passions is breaking down complex things, like rapport building, into basic working concepts. I stay away from advanced concepts that sound cool but have little success for someone just learning. There will be time to learn advanced concepts later.
